I’ve been working in visual design since 1993 and have always been drawn to projects where precision, proportion and detail matter.
GarageSensei grew from a personal passion for vintage Japanese cars, especially the Toyota AE86, and a frustration with low-quality reproductions that lacked the accuracy and character of the originals.
Each product is carefully recreated using original references whenever possible, with close attention paid to dimensions, typography, materials and finish. The goal is simple: to create graphics that feel correct on the car — not just close enough.
Outside of GarageSensei, I’m passionate about photography, filmmaking, architecture, painting and sailing. These interests continue to shape the way I approach design, materials and visual balance.
Preserving the details that give classic cars their identity back.
Based in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal, GarageSensei reflects a long-standing passion for design, craftsmanship and vintage Japanese car culture.
What started as a personal obsession with the Toyota AE86 gradually evolved into an ongoing effort to preserve details that are often forgotten, discontinued or poorly reproduced.
Outside of the workshop, I enjoy sailing, photography, filmmaking and spending time with family and friends — experiences that continue to influence the way I approach creativity, balance and precision.
